How to Start an E-Business

Posted on June 20, 2019 by

Because I've been running successful online business for some time now, people always ask me how they can achieve a similar level of success. How can I build a high-traffic website? How can I start an e-business online? My series of articles here will outline from a birds eye view how to start in several ways and what the benefits are.

I see how frustrated they get when they spend hours upon hours trying to put together a website that can earn them a full time income so that they can quit their jobs and have financial independence, its tragic to see them always giving up with in the first six months and sometimes even sooner than never getting enough traffic or maybe the idea just was not so profitable after all.

All of the successful E-businesses built by hand all have one thing in common. They are built around a formula that is usually referred to as "CTPM" Which stands for Content> Traffic> Presell> Monetize. Create in demand content, attract targeted traffic, Presell those visitors, and then finally monetize the presold traffic. This is the business model that many successful internet businesses and affiliates follow.

This business model usually will be best paired with a blog centered around a highly targeted subject that can be ever monetized. A website can also do well but the websites do not update with fresh content as often as blogs do. So my advice is to start a blog and fill it with a massive bulk of high value content about a subject you know a lot about and enjoy. This way you will not get sick and tired of it as well as you will not have to constantly be in the grueling process of researching the subject you're bored out of your mind with.

After you have at least forty blog posts or a website with one home page, ten tier two pages and at least two sub tier tree pages in each of those while using high quality high value keywords that traffic will come from than you can start to monetize it through ad sense and affiliate offers. …

Basic Roles and Responsibilities of a Nonprofit Finance Committee

Posted on June 19, 2019 by

The Finance Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Directors and is typicallyaired by the Board Treasurer. The committee is responsible for reviewing and providing guidance for the organization's financial matters. Specifically, the committee assures internal controls, independent audit, and financial analysis for the organization.

The Finance Committee reviews all financial statements and reports on financial activity to the full board. The full board may be better able to respond to aggregated information with important financial trends and issues highlighted in an accompanying narrative report. While each board member should have the opportunity to review organization-wide income and expenditure reports to understand the impact on the organization, members who are inexperienced at reading financial statements may get lost in overly detailed statements. To help the board fulfill its oversight function, it is important for the Executive Director and the Finance Committee to present the information in as clear and concise a manner as possible.

Here are the Finance Committee's basic responsibilities:

1. Provide direction for the entire Board for fiscal responsibility.
2. Regularly review the organization's revenues and expenses, balance sheet, investments and other matters related to its continued solvency.
3. Approve the annual budget and submit it to the full Board for approval.
4. Ensure the maintenance of an appropriate capital structure.
5. Oversee the maintenance of organizational-wide assets, including prudent management of organizational investments.

Here are some specific tasks the Finance Committee might undertake:

1. Review revenues and expenses at a monthly Committee meeting.
2. Ensure that organizational funds are well appropriated (ie, restricted funds).
3. Develop an investment strategy.
4. Ensure the preparation of an annual audit, tax form (990), and audited Financial Statements.
5. Provide support to staff as needed.

A committee of about 5 or 6 knowledgeable people should be able to provide invaluable financial leadership to your Board. …

Whichever you opt to do, it is vital to know first the fundamentals about indent care plans so you'll be in a position to make the correct decision and not have any regrets.

Also, the right insurance can help forestall sickness because plan holders are often encouraged to make the most out of their insurance by heading off to the dentist for frequent check ups. This way, your dental desires are closely watched and any sort of tooth sickness might be noticed immediately. Monetary health is also protected by tooth plans.

There are other dental plans that cover further procedures like root canals. For basic and major tooth care, some insurance firms do not cover the entire cost of the process but only a part of the service fee. So in this example, it is best to test and compare different tooth plans to determine which could offer the best coverage on these kinds of dental care procedures because they're the ones that most probably to be dear. Another factor that plan holders could consider is the annual maximum benefits.

Most dental insurance plans set a maximum annual amount to cover for tooth care requirements. If a plan holder goes over that maximum amount, then he will need to pay for the rising amount. But if ever the plan holder does not maximize that amount, the leftover amount not used inside a year may not be carried over to the following year. Debt Management Agreements – The Pitfalls

Posted on June 17, 2019 by

Credit counseling is not a very well-regulated industry today. In the past, credit counseling was operated more like a social service rather than as a business designed to make a profit. The industry was known by the general term CCCS (Consumer Credit Counseling Service) and operated under the general guidelines of the NFCC (National Foundation for Credit Counseling).

The lay of the credit counseling landscape has changed. As more and more consumers find themselves deeper and deeper in unsecured debt (think credit cards), more and more for profit credit counseling services have sprung up. Some of these services are very good and very fair, but be aware that not all of them are. Some credit counseling services are good, others are bad, and then there are those that are just evil.

1. The debt management service that you choose should be a member of the BBB (Better Business Bureau). You can check with the BBB to see if the company has a good record and if there have been any complaints filed by others. Membership in the NFCC (National Foundation for Credit Counseling) or AICCA (Association of Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies) is also acceptable.

2. If the debt management service promises you that it will take 20 minutes or less to solve all the financial problems, you need to run as fast as you can. They are referring to THEIR financial problems and not yours. It takes time and effort by a debt management service to help with your financial problems and get you the best deals possible.

3. Be certain that the debt management company can help with all of your unsecured debt and do not just deal with a few companies. Half a fix is often worse than no fix at all. …

Fast No Credit Check Loans for Emergency Repairing!

Posted on June 16, 2019 by

Fast No Credit Check Loans are perfect for situations when you do not have enough time to wait till your payday and still need funds for urgent matters. Within a short period of time that adds up to a few hours, you can have all the money you need deposited into your bank account and ready to be used at your discretion.

No Credit Check Loans

These loans do not require credit checks and that's one of the main reasons that make them so expeditious. Long credit verifications tend to make loan approval processes hassle-full and tedious. Moreover, the fact that these loans carry no credit checks has further advantages that you may want to consider.

Due to the lack of credit checks these loans can be approved for people with bad credit, no credit and even those who have gone through a bankruptcy process in the last few years. Those who usually can not get approved for unsecured loans can still get approved for fast no credit check loans without any problems.

Specific Loan Amounts

These loans do not carry high loan amounts but the exact loan amount for small and urgent repairing. For such situations these loans are perfect and the amount of money you can obtain from them is good enough for hiring professional services from various types of repairing men as well as for paying for the replacement parts.

The loan amount ranges from several hundred to a few thousands of dollars. If you need more money you'll have to apply for unsecured or secured personal loans but you'll have to wait more for approval. The reason why these loans carry small amounts is that due to the lack of credit checks, the lender is already risking too much.

Fast Approval Process

The approval process is amazingly fast. After you fill the online application, you'll only have to wait a few hours to hear back from the lender. Then within less than 24 businesses hs. you'll have the money deposited into your bank account. As you can see the money is almost immediately available for you to use it for whatever purpose.

Beware of The Fee

The loan is due usually by your next pay day and then you'll have to return then the loan's principal along with a fee. Bear in mind that the fee charged for this service is typically high which turns these loans perfect for emergencies but a bad resource for common financing. This implications that this form of financing should only be used once or twice a year or else you would enter a vicious circle of debt that may lead you to defaulting on this or other debt and cause you serious credit problems. …

Naming a Consulting Company

Posted on June 15, 2019 by

With the economy on the skids, many experienced mid and upper level professionals are striking out on their own, leveraging their expertise to build their own future and control their own destiny. For many of these aspiring entrepreneurs, creating a compelling brand name is new territory, a complete and utter mystery. They know it’s an important part of the equation, and they may have even had a full time marketing department at their previous firm. But now it’s “do-it-yourself-time,” and there’s a dearth of information on how to brand a new consulting company successfully. Fear no more. The first step in branding a consulting company is to know your objectives. Here are four key questions to clarify your goals…

1. Do you want your company name to stand out, or fit in? This may seem like a trick question, but there is not a right or wrong answer. Some new consultants are so concerned with gaining acceptance in their industry, they are much more comfortable with a name that sounds established and credible, right from the outset. If that’s the case, try looking up a list of others in your industry on sites such as dmoz.org. You will then gain a sense of the nomenclature used in your field. You may be able to emulate the feel, much like other industries have done (i.e. Microsoft’s Outlook, Apple’s Safari, Netscape’s Navigator, etc.) If want to gain notice, then do just the opposite. Look at the company names in your field and use interpretive naming strategies. For example, if nearly everyone in your category uses proper names (sometimes known as “legacy” names) then go with a metaphor (i.e. Jaguar, Caterpillar, Amazon, Monster, etc.) to convey your company’s attributes. Or try positive connotation words to create an entirely new identity (i.e. RedHat, OnStar, FireDog, etc.) Just make sure you have a rationale that can explain why you chose that name, and one that leads to a deeper dialog about your company.

2. Have you explored all the possibilities? Frequently, new business owners become frustrated and discouraged when naming their new businesses, simply because they’ve attempted only one or two naming strategies. Many times they’ve created a list of literal/functional names, (i.e. Custom Software Consulting) only to find the domain names are gone. Or they’ve attempted some obvious metaphors (i.e. Summit, Pinnacle, etc.) and found dozens of companies with similar names. The trick is to employ several methods. These include…

* Key attributes — For an example, we named one staffing company BrightHire.com based on their desire to attract the most intelligent candidates. You can see this employed with company names such as SirSpeedy, EconoLodge, Priceline and Smart Cuts. Is there an overarching benefit you provide that you can incorporate into your name?

* Invented names — This is a favorite with consultants but proceed with caution. It’s easy to get caught up in with the chase of a new name and gradual twist the spelling and message until it’s unintelligible. It’s okay to …

Lawsuit Loan – Is It a Scam?

Posted on June 14, 2019 by

What's a "Lawsuit Loan" All About?

A lawsuit loan is a cash advance made to you based on the temporary settlement amount of your case. This lawsuit cash advance is a percentage of what a pre-settlement lender thinks you will receive, if you win your lawsuit. As you know, litigation is tricky and you never have any guarantee that you will win your case, so the lender is at high risk if you lose.

The pre-settlement cash advance is really the loan of last resort when you consider the high risk and accompanying high rate of re-payment to the lender. Because the loans are typically termed as no win, no pay, no risk loans, the fees can seem usurious when in reality, you have to consider that the lenders of these types of loans in more in line with high risk venture capitalists.

After all, peace of mind is priceless. Pre-settlement funds can relate a lot of stress.

Is This a Cash Advance From My Lawyer?

Lawyers and attorney firms are prohibited from making cash advances to their clients because it could be construed as a conflict of interest. Let's face it, if your lawyer is supposed to be looking out for your best interest and at the same time is trying to collect past due funds from you, that would be somewhat disturbing. The act of your lawyer taking your case on a percentage is not the same as advancing cash against your settlement funds.

Where Do I Get Lawsuit Pre-Settlement Funding?

You can go online or if you live in a major city, there are probably pre-settlement funding companies in your area who will make you a lawsuit loan if you have a strong case and are likely to be awarded a large settlement. Some of the companies will loan as little as $ 250. Most of the companies limit the maximum to around $ 25,000 no matter how much you are suing for because they normally only make your lawsuit loan based on about 10% of the most they think you'll be awarded.

What is a Lawsuit Loan Broker?

Lawsuit loan brokers are very well versed on the different types of cash advances that each company is willing to lend. They also can quickly resubmit your application to another pre-settlement funding company if you are turned down for some reason. The broker is looking out for your benefit and is another source of help if you have a problem during the process. Asking a lawsuit cash advance broker to assist you can …

Posted on June 13, 2019 by

Like your job? Working for a good organization? Over age 50 and looking over your shoulder? If the answer is yes, maybe you should consider making yourself identifiable. In truth is no one is truly indispensable, but for career growth by working hard at making yourself indispensable, your career will prosper either with your current employer, or you'll be a top candidate for a job with another organization.

First, assess your strengths, weaknesses and your value to your group. What is your competition? Now develop a plan with both long and short-term strategies to boost your value within the operation and improve your career and other skills.

Following are 10 immediate actions you can take to make you more likely to be promoted or make you irreplaceable in the face of downsizing or reorganizing:

1. Take ownership of your responsibilities. View your department as a separate company. Consider your actions as if you were president of your company. Look at the balance sheet on every decision you make. Will the decision be seen as an asset or liability? Try to always see the bigger picture.

2. Take responsibility for your career and personal advancement. Be proactive. What are others in the same position doing in other organizations? What results are they achieving? What can you learn from then? Do you need additional training? Maybe some self-study is appropriate. How can you initiate those actions within your "company?"

3. Maintain a positive attitude. Look for ways, even under stress, to find the positive in everything. Find options to overcome obstacles and do not entertain the thought the situation is impossible. Stay away from the naysayers.

4. Consider outsourcing non-critical functions. Become an expert in this area. Lean organizations become more efficient by outsourcing. Let your management know you can effectively run things with fewer people.

5. Find tasks to do better or something that is not being done. In many organizations, especially those in a downsizing mode, responsibilities slip between the cracks. Propose to your boss that you pick up the slack. If you need extra training see that you are prepared. Do not be bashful about broadcasting the positive results.

6. Let others know what you're doing. As mentioned in # 5 above, if you or your team achieves something important to the organization let others know. Some managers believe if they keep quiet and blend into the background they'll be overlooked when and if the ax falls. Do not believe it. Be wise in spreading the word. It is not bragging if you've done it.

7. Excel in an area your boss is weak in. Look for opportunities in this area. Your boss is a good speaker but weak on material, there's an opportunity. Your boss is great on ideas but weak on financial analysis, there's an opportunity. If your boss is good on people skills but weak on technology, there's an opportunity. You see the trend, keep you eyes open and this is an area in which you …

"Anyone Who" is Not a Target Market

Posted on June 12, 2019 by

Finding your target market – that segment of the population that is best suited for your business and is most likely to buy from you – is absolutely critical to developing a plan for growth (aka a marketing plan). When I talk to small business owners, they're usually reluctant to start at the beginning, building a plan. Many small business owners think all there is marketing is getting the right ad in the paper, designing a creative direct mail piece or the perfect web site. While those things are certainly part of an effective marketing plan, none of it is going to be completely effective without a strategy to drive it.

Why a Target Market?

When small businesses spend money on advertising without knowing who they need to advertising to, what are they doing? First, they're trying to be all things to all people and this dilutes their core strengths. It makes them look and sound just like everyone else out there. Second, they're throwing a bunch of money away marketing to people who are not and never will be suitable prospects for their business. I do not know about you, but I have a limited marketing budget and spending money on people who will never buy from me – or who who I would not want to work with even if they did, is just not how I want to invest it.

So who is your target market? To answer this, let's talk about who is not.

Identifying a target market always comes up in my conversations with small business owners and marketers. "Oh, I know who my target market is!" they proclaim. I ask, "Really? Good for you! Describe your target market to me". Their answer? "Well my target market is Anyone who _______ fill in the blank": anyone who needs a new car; anyone who needs a dentist; anyone who wants to buy a house, etc. Would your answer be similar? If so, I'm sorry to tell you "Anyone Who" is not a target market. "Anyone Who" buys homes and cars or has teeth is not your target market; "Anyone Who" breathes is not necessarily the best fit for your company.

Why Not "Anyone Who"?

Let me explain: Let's say you own a dental practice in the 94533 zip code. You may think "Anyone Who" has teeth and lives in your zip code are your target market. You send out a postcard to every home – let's say 20,000 postcards of those 20,000 people, 30% do not have the dental insurance you cover. Another 15% have not been to the dentist in 10 years and are not going any time soon. Another 20% work in another city and go to dentists near their work. What does all this mean? It means that 65% of the people in your zip code are not candidates for your practice. It means that you just sent out 13,000 postcards or letters for nothing. It means you probably wasted at least $ …
