Boston schools award record $17M food service contract to Black-owned business
The Boston Community Educational facilities on Tuesday introduced a file $17 million food support agreement with Metropolis Fresh Foodstuff to provide breakfast, lunch, immediately after-university meals, treats and summer foods to the city’s educational institutions.
The deal is the major non-building agreement the town has awarded to a Black-owned business.
All meals will be created contemporary with healthy substances, which includes domestically sourced foods, in Metropolis Fresh’s Roxbury production facility.
